VBS at Argos Tournament

Lakewood Park Boys soccer played in the Argos Tournament this past weekend. In the first game Lakewood Park lost the first match 1-0 to Class 2A Northwood High School. The team played a fantastic game and had some opportunities but just missed on some shots on goal. Playing a hard fought game the team gave a much older and experienced Northwood team everything they had. In goal Reese Matthews had some fabulous saves to keep the LPC Panthers close throughout the game.

In the second match Class 1A Lakewood Park Christian ranked #12 in the state won a great match 2-0 against the tournament host Class 1A Argos Dragons ranked #15. Scoring both goals was Victor Hughes. The team played another exciting game coming out firing on all cylinders. The players played a great game both offensively and defensively. In the goal earning the shutout win was Michael Schreffler who played a super game!
