7th/8th Volleyball vs Harlan

Lakewood Park Seventh grade girls volleyball team lost their first match of the year on Tuesday night.  Their opponents, the Harlan Christian hawks, flew in to Lakewood and defeated them by the scores of 25 to 11 in the first set.  The second set did not go any better for Lakewood as Harlan won The second set 25 to 3 in a dominant fashion.

The second match of the night had the Lakewood Park Eighth grade girls beginning the year where they left off last season. The Lady Panthers started off strong in the first set, leading 16 to 10.  Harlan stormed back to take the first set 25 to 23.  The lady Panthers of Lakewood Park would not go down as easy in the second set. They won a close and contested battle by the score of 27 to 25. With the momentum shifted, the Lakewood Park lady Panthers continued to roll into the third set winning the third set by the score of 15 to 11.  The lady Panthers played an amazing game but struggled with 23 service errors in the three set match.  Even with the service errors, they were able to pull the The rest of their game together as one and overcame a tough first opponent in the Harlan Christian Hawks.
