JH BBB Vs. Hamilton

The Lakewood Park JH boys teams opened their season with a pair of wins on Monday night at Hamilton.
In the 7th grade game, Hamilton jumped out to an early lead, but by halftime the Panthers closed the gap to 1. The second half brought great defensive play by the Panthers. Josh Thrush and Austin Shepherd gave the Panthers the lead for good, securing the 19-18 win. The Panthers were led by Austin Shepherd who had 8 points and 11 rebounds. Malachi Rowlison added 5 points.

The 8th grade game started off level, but a strong defensive effort gave the Panthers the push they needed as they pulled ahead for a 45-17 win. The boys played a great team game by moving the ball and finding open teammates for scoring opportunities. The game saw five different Panthers scoring, led by Caedmon Bontrager with 16 points and Aiden Fetters with 15.

The Panther teams return to action next week at Westview on Tuesday.
