Panthers Slip Past Bruins in 1st Round

In the first round of Sectionals, the Panthers played the host home team, Bethany Christian. It was a rough start for the Panthers as they found themselves down 21-8 at one point in the second quarter. The Panthers battled back and made it 26-33 at the half, after a deep buzzer beating three by Logan Traylor. In the second half it was all Lakewood. The Panthers repeatedly pressed the Bruins all half and were able to take the lead and hold on to it to win the game by a score of 59-51. The Panthers were without Senior Keegan Fetters, who will return to action Friday night against Hamilton.
