JHBBB play at The Coliseum

The Lakewood Park 8th grade boys basketball team played the Lakeland Christian Cougars last Saturday. Taking part in the “Court of Dreams” program with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants the Panthers got to play their game on the Mad Ants’ court at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Panthers won their game 39-26. The Panthers had a great experience and played a great game. Lakewood played with great hustle and moved the ball very well with 7 different Panthers scoring. Isaiah Bland, Thomas Musser, and Tim Baker all had 3, Zech Gardner with 4, Carter Harman scored 6 and Caedmon Bontrager added 8. The Panther scoring leader was Aiden Fetters who had 12. “Our guys played with lots of hustle and made some great memories today” said the Panther’s Coach Brian Rayle. “We’d really like to share our thanks with the Mad Ants organization for giving us the opportunity!” The Panthers will return to action Tuesday when they travel to Garrett Middle School.
