Baseball Blows Out Clinton Christian

The boys knocked in eight runs in the fourth on its way to a 13-1 victory over Clinton Christian on Tuesday. The rally was led by singles by Luke Shively and Chandler Childers, an error on a ball put in play by Isaac Schlotterback and Grant Merkel, by Reed Sanderson, and a double by Drew Lyons.
Lakewood got on the board in the first inning when Carsten White grounded out, scoring one run.
Lakewood notched eight runs in the fourth inning. Lyons, Shively, Childers, Schlotterback, Merkel, and Sanderson all drove in runs in the frame. Carsten White and Drew Lyons both had a in the park homers for the Panthers.
Harrison Roberts was credited with the victory for Lakewood Park Christian Panthers Varsity. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out 14.

Lakewood Park Christian Panthers Varsity racked up nine hits. Lyons and Shively all managed multiple hits for Lakewood Park Christian Panthers Varsity. Lyons went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Panthers in hits.
