MS Girls Soccer Records 1st Ever Win!

The Lakewood Park Panther Middle School girls soccer team defeated Concordia in a home match on April 27th, with a final score of 3-2.  Lakewood went behind midway through the first half on a shot that barely escaped goalkeeper Mercy Gardner.  Jade Carnahan responded for the Panthers with a goal on an excellent assist from Megan Kooistra.  Just before the end of the first half, Danielle Lesser scored an unassisted goal to put Lakewood up 2-1 going into halftime.  Concordia came out strong in the second half and tied up the game 2-2.  With less than 10 minutes remaining, Jade broke the stalemate by scoring the final goal of the game and securing a historic first victory for the LPCS Middle School girls soccer program!  The Lakewood Park Panthers are back in action on May 5th at home against the Rangers.
