Lakewood Park Panthers Clings To Victory Against Woodlan

The girls softball team won both games in a double header on Saturday.
Despite seeing its six-run lead whittled down by the end, Lakewood Park Panthers still held off Woodlan for a 6-4 victory on Saturday. Woodlan scored four runs in the failed comeback.
Woodlan scored three runs in the sixth inning, but Lakewood Park still managed to pull out the victory.
Lakewood Park Panthers got on the board in the first inning. Hadyn Faur drove in two when she doubled.
Mackenzie Delancey led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Lakewood Park Panthers. She allowed one hit and four runs over five innings, striking out two.
Baughman was in the pitcher’s circle for Woodlan. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out five.
Lakewood Park Panthers smacked one home run on the day. Delancey had a four bagger in the fourth inning.
Lakewood Park Panthers totaled seven hits in the game. Maddy Lipscomb and Alli Knox each racked up multiple hits for Lakewood Park Panthers. Lakewood Park Panthers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Knox had the most chances in the field with six.

Lakewood stole the lead late and defeated Woodlan 9-6 on Saturday. The game was tied at six with Lakewood Park Panthers batting in the bottom of the sixth when O Wilson threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Lakewood Park Panthers.
Bats blistered as Lakewood Park Panthers collected ten hits and Woodlan tallied eight in the high-scoring game.
Lakewood Park took an early lead in the first inning. Lakewood Park scored two runs when Mackenzie Shepherd doubled.
After Woodlan scored one run in the top of the fifth, the Panthers answered with one of their own.
