JHBBB vs. Indian Springs

On Monday the Junior High boys basketball team drop a pair of games to the Stars from Indians Springs. In the seventh grade game, The stars offense proved consistently solid leading their way to an 36-10 final.
The eighth grade game brought a high energy start for the Panthers, rushing out to an early 11 point lead. Intense pressure in the second quarter from Indian Springs brought them back to within 1 point at half time. The second half want shot for shot with the teams battling until with 34 seconds the Stars pulled even. The Panthers got the ball back and with 8 seconds and had a great chance from the corner that bounced high off the rim sending the game into overtime. The extra period started with Lakewood taking the lead from the free throw line, but with a minute left, a 3 point basketball gave Indian Springs their first lead of the game, eventually leading to their 34-30 win. The Stars has 3 scorers in double digits for the game. The Panthers were lead in scoring with Carter Harman’s 11 and Caedmon Bontrager with 10. Other Panther scorers were Aiden Fetters and Luke Carnahan. The Panthers return to action Thursday at home against Canterbury.
