JH Soccer Finishes Strong

The Lakewood Jr. High team finished their season with wins over Lakeland and Churubusco.

On Monday night the Panthers defeated Lakeland 6-1. Caleb Ramer started out the scoring just over 1 minute into the match after receiving a cross from Zach Collins. The Panthers next goal came from Colton White and was assisted by Kellen Exford. Collins scored the 3rd goal with an assist from Sam Kirsch. In the second half Abraham Eicher led off the scoring. Exford found White again for the 5th goal. Eicher made it 6-0 with an assist from Ramer. Lakeland got on the board with a PK with 12 minutes left in the game. The Panther defense played strong the entire night.

On Tuesday the Panthers defeated Churubusco 3-1. Collins started off the scoring for the Panthers, followed by Blake Miller and Exford all in the first half. Churubusco put in a goal with 10:14 left in the first half to finish off the scoring. The Panthers finished the year with a 11-2 record. Coach White was very pleased with the improvement of the entire team throughout the season and is excited for the future of Panther Soccer!
