6th Grade Volleyball – 8 players

These girls played 21 games this season and came out with a perfect record (undefeated in all games (not just matches)). 11-0 vs Opponents A Teams and 10-0 vs. Opponents B Teams. This team made much improvement over last year in serving, hitting and returning.

Our team had 295 aces combined over the entire season. Megan Knox led the team with 86. Taylor Gerke came in second with 61, and Ashley Zak came in third with 49.

6th Grade Soccer – 14 players

This team showed continual improvement over the course of the year. Canterbury was our best game of the season in working together as a team that day and it was great to come out with a win over this rival.

The players really thought about how they wanted to be difference-makers this season in relation to their words and actions on the field. They talked about it a lot, and Coach Wilson could tell they were thinking about it and trying to be different from what they saw displayed by other teams we played.

Junior High Cross Country – 11 runner (5 boys and 6 girls)

This was our inaugural year with Jr. High Cross Country. Our boys finished in second place against DeKalb, Garrett, and Oak Farm. Chloe Jolloff finished in 5th place and was awarded a medal in the 13th Annual Cardegle Invitational one of the biggest JH meets in our area.

Junior High Volleyball (20 players – 10 7th and 10 8th graders) m

8th grade 5-4 record and every loss was a nail biter taking the other team to the third set. Junior High Soccer

Team record 14-1. Not only was this a very talented team, but they were a fun, hard working group of kids with good leadership. Coach White will share in his team portion what an absolute joy it was to coach them. Scoring was balanced between several players. Good teams in the past had 1 or 2 individuals doing most of the scoring. We had 13 different players score over the course of the season and 8 players score in multiple games. Defensive players were very strong as well with 7 shutouts.

Goals scored – 52
Goals allowed – 12
Shutouts – 7
Stats could have been more significant since several times the game was in hand early and we worked on possession.
